If you hooked everything up but you need a way to control your air horn than a solenoid valve is a great idea.
Tips for buying anĀ Air Horn Solenoid Valve
When your looking to buy Air Horn Solenoid Valves make sure that you keep some of the following things in mind.
- Your vehicle more than likely has a 12 Volt power system so you’ll need to get a 12 Volt Solenoid Valve.
- Make sure you have the proper fittings for the valve so its air tight and you don’t have any leaks.
- Install the valve somewhere secure where it wont get knocked off and out of the way of rain.
Installing The Solenoid Valve
You can use a sturdy brass valve that meets the psi of your compressor and air tank. A valve like this one should be more than enough to get you going.
Install the valve between your air tank line and horns. Again, make sure it is securely installed so it doesn’t fall out!
Connect the lead wires to a 12 Volt battery source. Most people install the switch up by the steering wheel on the dash for easy access.
Once its all set up you can hit that switch and honk your heart out!
